Yes. The club is supported by annual membership dues. The inaugural first year dues will be from March 2024 to January 31, 2025. Each following year will provide membership from Feb 1st to January 31 of the following year.

The club offers group rides for various levels of fitness, access to the local and regional rides as shown in the club calendars.
Local rides will be considered “No-Drop” rides whereby no member is left behind the main group. In the event a ride is supported with varying levels of cycling fitness we will establish several subgroups within the ride to accommodated their needs.
For example,
“A” Group will consist of riders sustaining speeds of 19-21+ mph
“B” Group will consist of riders sustaining speeds of 15-18 mph
“C” Group will consist of riders sustaining speeds of 12-15 mph
In the event a rider from any group falls back to a following group, they will then finish the ride with that group. Each group may also alter their collective speed pending weather conditions and desired distance.

Yes. We endeavor to be inclusive for beginners who desire to improve their cycling fitness and performance. If the beginner decides they are not quite ready for the available rides, there are other cycling groups listing on the website with a more social and casual approach to cycling.
-
Organized group rides for our club and by others are listed in the Events Calendar on the home page. There are other non-club sponsored rides that meet weekly (Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun) organized within the Facebook Page “Mobilians on Bikes”, as well as other links listed under local group rides.
-
All persons who wish to participate in a club sponsored event will be required to sign a cycling waiver. We believe in a try before you buy concept and will allow one ‘free’ ride to those who would like to participate with the interest of joining the club. A single event waiver will be required and valid for seven days after the ride. Those who participate after their first ride will be expected to join the club for successive rides

Our club is mainly an over the road cycling group. That said, we do not restrict the type of bikes allowed during ride events. All but the most fit cyclists will find a ‘road bike’ as their best option, meaning riders on mountain bikes will not be able to maintain the expected pace during a ride
-
Since we are not a mountain biking club the only skills required are knowledge of vehicular rules of the road and a fitness level in keeping with the expected group pace. See the above response to “What is the expected pace?”
-
We mostly are a social club with a cycling problem (LOL). The club endeavors to build relationships among our diverse member base and our cycling communities.
A chat discussion is available with the site under the main menu “Peddle Pushing” for members to connect socially within the group
-
As agreed to within the cycling waiver, we ask all members to follow the vehicular rules of the road. We have also made available some commentary on ride etiquette under the main menu “Peddle Pushing”. Additional Smart Cycling videos are provided to acquaint and reinforce good cycling practices. Each member is also expected to respect the needs and safety of the “group” during group rides.
